Six Sigma Program deployment

Project objective:

Training, certification and implementation of real DMAIC improvement projects at Six Sigma Yellow and Green Belt level, with the client's employees.

Initial situation:

The client wants an advanced training and development program for staff, middle and top management employees in order to solve complex problems. The Six Sigma methodology is proposed based on the DMAIC structure using statistical tools with Minitab to be applied in their improvement projects. Lean Six Sigma projects have been carried out before, but something else was desired.

Main activities:

1. Realization of the Yellow Belt level training, consulting and project management program - 2 days of training, +2 days of project consulting, +1 day of project presentation and certification
2. Employee training and project selection
3. Consulting and coaching projects
4. Project presentation and Yellow Belt certification 

5. Selection of employees for the Green Belt level
6. Realization of the Green Belt level training, consultancy and project management program - 10 days of training divided into 3 modules, +4 days of project consultancy, +1 day of project presentation and certification
7. Employee training and project selection
8. Consulting and coaching projects
9. Project presentation and Green Belt certification

Results:

1. A total of 6 training series - 5 Yellow Belt, 1 Green Belt
2. 66 total participants at training of which 56 Yellow Belt participants and 10 Green Belt participants
3. 43 Yellow Belt projects concluded thus 43 Yellow Belt certificates
4. 10 Green Belt projects concluded thus 10 Green Belt certificates
5. Total annual savings approved at the end of the projects 1,700,000 Euros of which:

• 920,000 Euros from Yellow Belt projects
• 780,000 Euros from Green Belt projects
• Average savings/project 32,000 Euro

Following the results obtained, both financial and from the perspective of the development of employment and the culture of prevention and the structured and systematic approach to problems, the client replicated the program described above for the next wave of employees.
